Suriana continues to stand beside Nathan – when one journey ends the care & support carries on

Nathan was a 36‑year‑old durian seller who faced serious health problems that left him unable to walk or work. His condition made it extremely difficult for him to earn a living and cover his monthly expenses, which were around RM13,000. Nathan was also responsible for taking care of his mother, and the mounting costs added to their challenges. Despite his determination to keep going, he had to rely on the generosity of others to get the medical treatment he needed and to support his family during this difficult time. The community had already shown kindness, but Nathan still faced an uphill battle to recover and regain some stability in his life.
Amount Fundraised: RM 79,000.

Kamalanathan's mother, Vijayaletchmi has been appointed as the next-of-kin to receive the remaining funds available. This initiative will secure her needs for the next 4 ½ years.

We at Suriana are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Kamalanathan A/L Troung Kodang, after facing a battle that had caused him to succumb to the severity of his condition. Suriana continues to stand beside Vijayaletchmi to ensure that she receives the support needed. May Kamalanathan rest in absolute peace.

With the funds collected, the following was established:
Kamalanathan had regular visits to the clinic to change his dressings as often as he needed.
Transport to & from the clinic, as well as the clinic fees in totality.
House rental, utilities and groceries.
